BETHANY, MO — An elderly blind man was a victim of a woman who was supposed to be taking care of his financial affairs, according to authorities in Harrison County. Theresa Harsh, 46, of Denver, Mo., has been charged with the financial exploitation of the man following an investigation by the county sheriff and the Missouri Division of Family Services. Harsh is accused of taking checks from the victim, which were supposed to pay bills, and using them for her personal use. About $6,000 was misappropriated from the 72-year-old man’s account. Harsh was taken to the Harrison County Jail where she was held on $25,000 cash bond pending an appearance in Harrison County Circuit Court.
