POLO, MO — School officials at Polo are looking at the A+ Program, which offers free 2-year college tuition for qualifying students. The State of Missouri has imposed a deadline of Spring, 2013, for any new school to join the program. Polo has accumulated eight years of data to position for its inclusion in the program but Polo remains as one of approximately 100 school districts across the state which currently does not participate. School board members have expressed concern about costs but also about students who may terminate their formal education after high school graduation without the benefits afforded by the A+ Program. Opinion from the parents of students is being sought.
