JAMESPORT, MO — The annual Heritage Day Festival in Jamesport was a huge success for 2012. Space in the A.V. Spillman Event Center was sold out with vendors coming from as far away as South Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa. Vendor spaces spilled out beyond the 40 indoor spaces with as many as 10 booths setting up outdoors to serve a large crowd. Some vendors completely sold out their inventory by mid-afternoon; concessions served by the Northwest Missouri Saddle Club of Trenton were depleted by mid-afternoon despite food sold by restaurants and at a salad luncheon offered at the Jamesport Methodist Church. This is viewed as the largest festival in recent history. The Jamesport Community Association’s Quilt Show and Auction will be the next event at the community center on Oct. 10-13, 2012. Events coordinator is Micah Landes.
