NCMC, Northwest to cooperate in nursing program

MARYVILLE, MO — The Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents approved a cooperative agreement with North Central Missouri College to share the costs of a nursing director during its regular meeting Sept. 13, 2012. The cooperative agreement allows the two colleges to share the costs of an employee who will serve as the director of Northwest’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) completion program and a facilitator of North Central’s nursing program with Northwest’s cost being $40,000. Northwest Provost Dr. Doug Dunham explained to the board that Northwest has established a strong partnership with North Central in multiple academic areas, and the move to share a nursing director will benefit both institutions.
