GENTRY COUNTY, MO — A 30-year-old King City man was sentenced to seven years in prison after entering a guilty plea on Sept. 6, 2012, during law day at the Gentry County Courthouse. William J. Ellsworth Jr. plead guilty to one count of receiving stolen property (Class C felony) and two counts of Class C felony theft before Judge Roger Prokes. Ellsworth and his brother, Scott Gannon Ellsworth, were charged in January for the theft of about $20,000 in fencing supplies that had been sold in St. Joseph. Scott Ellsworth faces nine felony charges in connection with the case and is scheduled to appear in court before Judge Prokes on Oct. 4th.
