CAMERON, MO — After 22 years of service, Sgt. Marty Gray has retired from the Cameron Police Department.

Gray, a native of Kidder, was working as a firefighter and an EMT when he decided to enter the profession of law enforcement. He began as a Cameron patrolman in January, 1990, and became a trainer for the department. He also served as the K-9 officer and in 2004 was assigned to the NITRO Task Force and promoted to sergeant.

A retirement party was held for Gray on Friday, July 27, 2012. He plans to spend more time with his family in retirement.
