Tri-County R-7 staff attended the School Wide Positive Behavior Support Institute June 18-20 at Tan-Tar-A.
The District was recognized for their outstanding PBS program with a SW-PBS Bronze Award and Banner. PBS is a process for creating safer and more effective schools by structuring the learning environment to support the academic and social success of all students. During the 2012-2013 school year, the district will be in its third year using the PBS discipline program. Data shows the discipline incident rates have decreased significally since implementing the program. Students are recognized for demonstrating PBS Expectations in all settings and a positive school atmosphere is evident. All staff will be attending an in-district PBS training July 16-17, 2012 to review components of the Tri-County PBS program and make adjustments to enhance the program for the upcoming school year.
