The extra duty schedule was approved with the new increase in pay.

A $2.2 million budget was approved for next year. The decreased number of employees, no added construction cost and a change in health insurance from the 2011-2012 school year, will help offset the state under-funding the formula by seven percent, the possibility of reductions in federal funding, and should cover most of the cost of the lease purchase used to make improvements to the building last year.

The board approved the position of a part-time night custodian for the 174 days in session next year. The school will start taking applications immediately through July 10.

The tuition rate for out of district students was left at $3,200.

The 2011 -2012 budget amendments and transfers were approved including the transfer out of fund 1 into fund 4 for the lease purchase, transportation transfer and fund 3 transfers for bond payment.

The Board accepted the resignation of Landon Snook as agriculture teacher, pending the finding of a suitable replacement. Applications may be submitted on the "Missouri Teaching Jobs" website. The position will be open until filled.

Next board meeting was set for 8 p.m. on July 18.
