James Wilson gave the mission moment on the services we provide for Della Lamb in Kansas City for 525 elementary school students. Scripture was from Mark 4:35-41, “A Terrible Storm!” Pastor Marilyn’s message was “In Over Our heads.”

Praise time special was “Abide With Me.” Have you seen our new huge cross and the Holy Sprit flame in the backyard of the church? We hope you remember its meaning. Susie Walton painted our huge church bell a bright silver. Prayer needs are for Zaidee Hawman, Pastor Ralph Davis, Tokey Sue Gardner and Connie Hughes.

Gallatin Assembly of God

The adult Sunday School lesson was from Acts 12. Gloria Lint led the class in the discussion of the Apostle Paul’s message at his missionary ministry at Pisidia. The morning worship and singing was led by Larrie Terry with Mona Roberts at the piano. Gloria Lint shared a reading.

Rev. Clyde Lint’s sermon was “Be Calm, Jesus is Near,” from Mark 4:35-5:8. The church will put on a program at the nursing home on July 3. The puppets will be taking part. Gloria Lint is coordinating the program. Sunday night was an inspiration service. Shelby Hogan emceed.

Olive Baptist

Brother David’s Sunday morning message was “Watch Continually and Be Ready!” from Luke 12. We continued our study on the book of Job during Sunday evening Bible study. We kicked off our Vacation Bible School on June 22 with a bonfire and camp out at the church. On Saturday, we held Bible school activities, including a barbecue and commencement. We held services at the Daviess County Nursing and Rehab Center on Sunday afternoon. We will hold business meeting Sunday following morning worship.

Gallatin United Methodist

Pastor Mark’s message “Storms of Life” was based on Mark 4: 35-41. Children’s Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. with Terry Pierce and Debbie Sweatman as teachers. Saturday, June 30, at 10 a.m. will be a memorial service for Kevin Kordes at Hillcrest Cemetery. Twenty-one people received our carry out meal on June 24. Sign up for Meals on Wheels for July. Sunday, July 1, at 12:15 there will be a Bible School meeting in the Fellowship Hall with Becky.

Our mission and vision project will be collecting food packs to be distributed to families in Missouri who are in need. A donation of $25 would be adequate to equal one food pack. Please put a memo on your envelope for “food pack” donation. These will be distributed at the Festival of Sharing in Sedalia in October.

Fairview

Shelly Mason opened services with devotional. The Adult Sunday School studied from Deuteronomy 10:12-22 and 16:18-20, “Loving as We Are Loved.” The message was from I Corinthians 12 and Romans 12 concerning “The Gifts.” Special prayer requests are for Bro. James Bridgeman, Beth Hollifield, Mellisa Batson, Lonnie Ullinger and Dalton Clemmons.

Gallatin First Baptist

The celebration choir began with service with “This is the Day” as call to worship. Micah Sidebottom shared his testimony. Special music was a ladies trio, Amber Adams, Julie Willett and Linda Arnold, singing “The Great I Am.” Thor Madsen from Mid-Western Theological Seminary, presented the morning message and Dakota Darby brought the evening message. Trustees will meet at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 1. This coming Sunday morning, July 1, we will observe the Lord’s Supper with E.J. Barnes, from North Grand River Baptist Association officiating. He will also be our evening speaker. This being the first Sunday of the month, we will have Celebration of Life, honoring those having birthday in July. The deacons will also have their monthly meeting Sunday evening.

Pattonsburg and Heath UMC Charge

Bill Hendrix’ sermon was “There is a Price to be Paid,” from I Chronicles 21:21-25. Some of the Heath members joined the Pattonsburg Methodist members with a fellowship meal at 11:30 a.m.

Gallatin First Christian

Pastor Russ Hamilton gave the message “Power in the Blood” based on Leviticus 17:11 and Ephesians 2:1-10. Pastor Russ and Theresa Hamilton and Dennis Croy gave the children’s messages. Bro. Dan’s message was “Holy, Holy, Holy,” from Hebrews 12:18-29. Prayer meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Opportunities for service include: LifeLight Music Festival at Miracle Hills Ranch in Bethany on June 29 and 30; female cabin leaders for children’s camp July 16-20; VBS helpers; and choir member.
