Funeral services for Wanda Youngs were held Tuesday, June 19, at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany, with burial in the McFall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Pattonsburg School in care of the Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N. Hundley, Albany, Mo., 64402.
Wanda "Maudie" Irene Youngs died on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center in Albany, at the age of 74.
Wanda Youngs, the daughter of Dale and Alta (Swope) Daniel, was born on April 30, 1938, in Daviess County, Pattonsburg, where she spent most of her life.
On June 18, 1953, Wanda was united in marriage to J.C. Youngs.
Wanda worked for Woodward Grocery in McFall, and then worked as a cook for the Pattonsburg School for 24 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gwendola Spiers; brothers, Ovid, Jimmy and Eddie Daniel.
Survivors include her husband, J.C. of the home; three daughters, Kathy Ray, McFall, Carol Hopkins, Albany, and Marilyn Wilmes, Albany; one son, Mike Youngs, Coffey; four sisters, Letha Shipers and Julia Cornett, both of Pattonsburg, Eulonda Breeze, Hamilton, and Kathleen Scott, Washington; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
