An Eagleville teenager was fatally injured in an accident that happened at about 5:55 p.m. on June 9 in Harrison County.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Brittni Brenizer, 16, Eagleville, was southbound on Hwy. 69, one-half mile north of Eagleville, driving a 1999 KIA. She crossed the center line and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to travel off of the west side of the roadway and strike an embankment. The vehicle rolled multiple times during which Brittni was ejected.

The vehicle came to rest on its wheels facing southwest in the northbound lane.

Brittni was taken by North Harrison Ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany. She was pronounced dead at the hospital by Dr. Sciolaro.

A passenger in the vehicle, Reed Hallock, 16, Hatfield, received moderate injuries. He was taken by private vehicle to Harrison County Community Hospital.

Brittni was not wearing her seat belt and it is unknown if Reed was wearing his seat belt.

The accident was investigated by Cpl. J.S. Johnson, assisted by Sgt. J.J. Rongey, Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri Conservation Department.

The Kia was totaled.
