James Lewis, supervisor, reported that they have installed a tube in Liberty Township off of Lake Viking Road. They are continuing work at 140th and TT, replacing tubes in Colfax and Jefferson Townships, and also finishing up a project on Maple Road.

Bills were audited and paid.

Elizabeth Langdon and Ann McCrary met with the commission to thank them for the new bridge on 105th Street.

The commissioners inspected brush in Jackson Township and in Lock Springs Special and also inspected a new tube in Grand River and Colfax Townships.

Carl Carder made a visit to a property owner in Union Township in the afternoon.

These are the unapproved minutes of June 11, 2012. All commissioners were in attendance. Minutes were approved.

Sheriff’s Office

Mercedes Sappington, 33, Kansas City, was arrested June 8 for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge of no valid license, and is being held on $5,000 bond.

Marcelino Del Angel, 40, St. Joseph, was arrested June 10 for misdemeanor DWI, no valid license, and endangering welfare of a child, and is being held on $2,000 bond.

Tyler Trammell, 21, Chillicothe, was arrested June 10 for misdemeanor DWI. He was held for 12-hours detoxification, and released with a summons.

Cali Welch, 18, Trenton, was arrested June 10 on a DeKalb County warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge of no insurance. She posted $250 bond.

Circuit Court

Before Judge Thomas Chapman on June 6, the following cases were heard:

A dissolution of marriage was granted to Jason D. Livick, Gallatin, from Deanna M. Livick, St. Joseph.

Civil cases filed: Certificate of lien, DOR, taxes, have been filed by the State of Missouri ex rel against Mark A. Smith, Joni and Meri Troyer, Barney R. Esbeck, and Falcon Express Inc.

Cases bound over from the Associate Division to the Circuit Court: State vs. James M. Carr, Weatherby, endangering welfare of child first offense sexual conduct, class C felony; child molestation second degree, class A misdemeanor; assault third degree, class C misdemeanor;

State vs. Charles J. Heffner, Coffey, failure to register as sex offender, class D felony; State vs. Shaina Lynnea Parker, possession of controlled substance, class C felony; resisting arrest, class D felony; tampering with physical evidence in felony prosecution, class D felony; unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, class A misdemeanor.

Defendants found guilty in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County are listed below with the offense and fine assessed. Additionally, court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $68.50 for moving traffic violations, and $116.50 in most criminal cases. Kenneth L. Walker, Kansas City, trespass 1st degree amended to trespass 2nd degree, $200.

Dennis J. Millette, Gallatin, fishing without a permit, $19.

Michael T. Ward, Gallatin, driving while intoxicated, $350; no seat belt $10.

Manuel A. Galvan-Paez, Shawnee Mission, Kan., no valid license, two days jail, board bill paid by defendant.

Fredy Franco Vega, McFall, driving while intoxicated, 22 days jail, board bill paid by defendant, $25; no valid license, two days jail, board bill paid by defendant, $25; failed to drive right half of roadway, $38.50; failed to signal, $28.50.

Civil Court

Breach of contract: A default judgment was entered for Archview Financial LLC and against Ricky W. Baldwin. Riverwalk Holdings LTD vs. Mark A. McNeely was dismissed by the parties.

Promissory Note: A default judgment was entered for World Accept. Corp. of Mo. And against Delbert Miller.

Suits on account: Default judgments were entered for the New Liberty Hospital and against Brian Rhynes et al, and for Discover Bank and against Kristin Emerson. Midwestern Health Management vs. Charles D. Uthe was dismissed by the parties.
