Alvis Clayton McBroom, 81, of Gallatin, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012.

There will be an informal gathering of friends and family held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 28, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Gallatin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gallatin Fire Protection District or the Daviess County Country Club.
Clayton was born November 5, 1930, in Aspermont, Texas, the son of Truman Alexander and Irene (Sawyer) McBroom. Clayton was the owner operator of McBroom TV and Electric since 1955.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Linda (McBroom) Worrell and Danny McBroom; and two sisters, Juanita Warner and Imogene Barton.
Clayton is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Mildred; six children, Dennis, Craig, Kyle, Kent, Kerry and Kara; one sister, Pauline Martin; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
