Memorial Day services will be held at Brown Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 28. The event is sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. After the Gallatin ceremony, the veterans will travel to Jamesport to perform at the Masonic Cemetery at around 11:30 a.m.

The ceremony will include the National Anthem performed by all four Steele sisters, Jade, Kristina, Sabrina and Elena. Dr. Eugene Story will be guest speaker. Comrade Larry Barnes will play Taps. The traditional gun salute will be performed.
Assisting the V.F.W. will be the Ladies Auxiliary and local boy scouts and girls scout troops.
