Terry Caldwell, 62, Winston, was seriously injured in an accident that happened at about 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, in Daviess County.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Caldwell was westbound on Second Street in Winston driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. He was attempting to make a left turn onto Richardson Street when he experienced some kind of physical impairment and lost control of the vehicle. He went off the west side of the roadway and struck the corner of a house.

Caldwell, who was not wearing his seat belt, was taken by Lifenet Helicopter to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City.

The Tahoe had extensive damage.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. A.J. Webb, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff and First Responders and The Daviess County Ambulance District.
