Two Bethany teenagers received moderate injuries in an accident that happened at about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, in Daviess County.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Michael Lewis, 21, Pattonsburg, was driving a 1997 Ford Ranger northbound on Haven Road. About a half mile south of Route Z and one mile west of Old Pattonsburg, Lewis failed to negotiate a curve. The pickup slid off the southeast side of the roadway and overturned in a field, coming to rest on its top south of Haven Road.
Two passengers in the vehicle, Sierra Ash, 15, Bethany, and Brooke Magee, 18, Bethany, received moderate injuries and were taken by private vehicle to Northwest Regional Medical Center in Albany. They were not wearing their seat belts.
The pickup was extensively damaged.
The accident was investigated by Sgt. Ott.
