Lake Viking Lions Club sponsored the 2011-2012 Lions International Peace Poster Contest for Searcy sixth grade. Jade Wayne, received first at both local and district; Hailey Michael received second; and Issac Lucas received third.
Contestants were asked to create a poster that visually communicated the contest theme, "Children Know Peace." Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization, with 1.35 million members in more than 45,000 clubs in 206 countries and geographical areas.
