The Daviess County Fine Arts Council met April 9 and voted to keep the 2012 Chautauqua on the Gallatin square, rather than moving it to Dockery Park.

The council had used the poll on the Gallatin North Missourian website as a determining factor in the decision. Results of the online poll were: 162 votes for the square, 31 votes for the park.
Meetings of the Fine Arts Council are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to attend and to participate.
The next meeting of the council will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 14 at the First Christian Church meeting room. Future meetings will be listed in the calendar of events in the Gallatin North Missourian.
