A Kansas City man received moderate injuries as a passenger in a truck involved in an accident that happened at about 12:09 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, in Daviess County.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Samuel Baum, 15, Kearney, was westbound on Route Z at Poage Street in Old Pattonsburg. He was driving a 2001 Ford pickup and failed to negotiate a curve to the north. He traveled off the west side of the roadway and the vehicle came to rest facing northwest off the west side of Route Z.
Samuel’s father, Daniel Baum, 44, Kansas City, was transported by NTA Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. He was wearing his seat belt.
The accident was investigated by Sgt. M.A. Ott, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
