A 12-year-old received serious injuries when the 2012 Polaris Ranger he was driving wrecked at about 5:48 p.m. on Sunday, April 1.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Gabe Sperry, 12, Gilman City, was northbound on County Road 270, about one mile north of Route H and two miles north of Gilman City in Harrison County. The right front tire of the vehicle left the east side of the roadway. Gabe overcorrected to the left, then steered back to the right as the vehicle began overturning. The Polaris came to rest facing south on its passenger side partially off the east side of the roadway.

Gabe was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany by private vehicle. Three occupants received minor injuries. Bailey Toombs, 13 and Sage Holmes, 13, both of Gilman City, sought medical treatment at a later time. Maile Cook was taken by private vehicle to an unknown location and his age and hometown were not known by the reporting officer.
