Kathryn was born on January 10, 1916 in Bethany, Missouri to John and Josephine (Howe) Bacon.
She was a member of Prairie view Methodist Church.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon McWhinney; Nephews, Bob Slaughter, John Bacon John and Jim Utterback.
Survivors: Sister, Ruth Slaughter, Bethany, MO; sister-in-law, Margurite Bacon, Bethany, MO; Nephews, Jack, Olin, Irl and Larry Slaughter; niece, Laura (Slaughter) Gartman; Nephews, Jerry and Henry Bacon; Nieces, Emily Utterback, Cameron; stepdaughters, Jean Huitt and Jane Smith.
