GoldKey Security Corporation has officially opened a sales office in the former True Value hardware store at 102 South Market.
GoldKey specializes in providing advanced security solutions to government, financial institutions, and other organizations with mission critical data to protect. The GoldKey USB security device is for user authentication, identity management, and encryption of sensitive data and files.
WideBand Corporation, a manufacturer of high-performance computer networking products, located on West Grand in Gallatin, will also manufacture some of the GoldKey products, according to Joseph Billings, president of WideBand and a director for GoldKey.

Sales personnel for GoldKey are already set up and operating from the building, Billings said. There are "a handful" of employees and no plans to hire. The building is owned by the company and is undergoing some repairs. (GoldKey is not affiliated with the next door building that formerly housed Shay’s Place).
The management team for GoldKey includes Rog Billings, founder and CEO; John Billings, vice-president of research and development; Jon Thomas, vice-president of sales; Pajet Monet, director; and Joseph Billings, director.
