He was born Oct. 4, 1935 to Robert and Ann (Dougall) Forsyth in St. Joseph.
He married Peggy Smith January 29, 1982. She preceded him in death October 8, 2011.
Mr. Forsyth worked for the St. Joseph School District as a custodian. He especially enjoyed eating at the casino and attending the car show in Pattonsburg.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include a son, Fred Trauernicht (Carolyn), Whitesville, Mo.; two daughters, Cindy Trauernicht, St. Joseph and Lora Wallace (Dale), Maysville, Mo.; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Pat Newton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 3 pm, March 8, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 to 3 pm, Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 9 am, Thursday.
