Mark Henry Sr., 46, and Mark Henry Jr., 25, both of Unionville, father and son, were each charged Feb. 17 with two counts of theft, class C felony. In August 2010, the Henrys allegedly took 110 bales of hay which belonged to Virgil Miller from Premium Standard Farms in Coffey. They also took 230 bales of hay from Scott Colby Farms near Jamesport which belonged to Premium Standard Farms. None of the hay has been paid for as of Feb. 12, 2012. The total value of the hay is almost $12,000. Each has posted $15,000 bond.

Brittany Thomas, 19, Trenton, was arrested Feb. 19 for forgery, class C felony. She is being held on $35,000 bond. She allegedly wrote a check to Highway 6 BP in Jamesport on Nov. 29, 2011, which belonged to Josephine Dunn. The check was denied by the cashier.

Albert McAfee, 58, Gilman City, was arrested Feb. 18 for misdemeanor DWI. He was held 12 hours, processed and released.

Vicki Huff, 54, Pattonsburg, was arrested Feb. 18 for misdemeanor DWI. She was held for 12-hour detoxification, processed and released.

Jerry Holliday, 50, Gallatin, was arrested Feb. 19 for domestic assault, class A misdemeanor. She is being held on $1,000 bond.

Darrell Palmer, 19, Kimberling City, was arrested Feb. 15 for probation violations on an original charge of attempted theft of motor vehicle, class D felony. Bond was denied.

Stephen McQuinn, 55, Gallatin, was arrested Feb. 17 for probation violations on an original charge of burglary and property damage, class C felony. He is being held on $1,741.50 bond.

Michael Conner, 42, Winston, was arrested Feb. 15 for assault third degree, class A misdemeanor. He posted $500 bond.

Christina Osbon, 26, Trenton, was arrested Feb. 15 for probation violations on an original charge of forgery, class C felony. She is being held on $10,000 bond.

Dennis Swearingin, 31, Coffey, was arrested Feb. 15 for no valid license, class D felony. He posted $5,000 bond.

Mike Mooney, 33, Jamesport, was arrested Feb. 21 on five counts of passing bad checks, class A misdemeanor. He is being held on $500 bond.

 County Commission

Carl Carder reported that the company that had inspected the storage facility for mold is unable to make the necessary corrections.

James Lewis, bridge supervisor, reported that they will continue hauling rip rap this week. They have been working in Grand River Township on a drainage problem and bridge in section 28, on Key Avenue.

Rich Love, bridge inspector, and Scott Stephens, MoDOT District Bridge Engineer, met with the commission and Mr. Lewis, delivering pictures of the 164 bridges in the county following the biennial inspections. They reviewed each bridge that has critical needs and discussed the unfunded mandate; an action plan for closing some bridges during high water conditions. Only two bridges require immediate attention.

A contract was executed with Espy Services for an audit of telephone invoices.

Ben Becerra, sheriff, met with the commission regarding grant funds.

The commission met with the Senior Services Board concerning the use of tax funds and the audits required by that board from the recipients.

In the afternoon, the commission inspected roads in Grand River, Jamesport and Salem Townships.

The commission met with a representative of a mold remediation company at the storage facility.

Circuit Court

Law Day proceedings were conducted Feb. 15 by Judge Thomas Chapman. The following cases were heard:

Warrants were issued for Dennis A. Swearingin on a probation violation for felony no valid license, bond of $5,000; Brian King on a probation violation for felony passing bad checks, bond of $1,353.50; Christina D. Osbon on a probation violation for felony forgery, bond of $10,000; Stephen D. McQuinn on a probation violation for felony burglary second degree, bond of $1,741.50; and Robert A. Iser on a probation violation for felony possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute, bond of $3,000.

The jury trial for Wayne D. Poage for non-support was vacated, and the case was continued for resetting.

Jesus Carcamo-Rodriguez plead guilty to felony possession of controlled substance and was sentenced to two years in the Department of Corrections.

Timothy Scott Skinner plead guilty to felony stealing a firearm and was sentenced to three years in the Department of Corrections. One count of burglary was dismissed.

Vincent V. Quang had plead guilty in January to possession with intent to distribute, class B felony. He received a suspended imposition of sentence and five years probation.

Andrea L. Ray plead guilty to an amended charge of misdemeanor attempt to damage jail property. She received a suspended imposition of sentence and two years probation.

Dakota R. Phillips had plead guilty in January to misdemeanor sexual misconduct. He was sentenced to 60 days with credit for time served. On two additional charges, resisting arrest and escape from custody, he received a suspended imposition of sentence and five years probation. On a charge of minor visibly intoxicated he was sentenced to two days and a $10 fine.

Rachel M. Wells was sentenced to five years in the Department of Corrections for driving while intoxicated, class C felony.

Jonah H. Durfee had plead guilty in December to stealing motor vehicle. He received a suspended imposition of sentence and five years probation.

Jacob D. McClure had previously plead guilty to two counts of possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, class B felonies. A third count was dismissed. He was sentenced to 10 years in the Department of Corrections on one count. On the second count, he received a suspended imposition of sentence and five years probation. The court retains jurisdiction for 120-day callback and recommends institutional treatment.

Cristina Lyn Curtis plead guilty to three counts of felony forgery. A sentence assessment report was ordered.

Anthony F. Hastings plead guilty to an amended misdemeanor charge of assault on law enforcement. He was sentenced to 80 days in jail with credit for time served.

Keith A. Anderson plead guilty to tampering with motor vehicle and endangering welfare of a child, both class C felonies, and to property damage, class D felony. He was sentenced to seven years on each count in the Department of Corrections, sentences to be served consecutively. He was sentenced to four years on a resisting arrest charge, concurrent to other sentences, and two days in jail for a misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charge.

Richard D. Enochs plead guilty to an amended misdemeanor charge of tampering second degree and was sentenced to 42 days in jail with credit for time served and fined $10. He was fined $93.50 on a wildlife violation.

Harry S. Olsen plead guilty to stealing, class B felony, and a sentence assessment report was ordered.

Aaron A. Roberts entered a guilty plea to endangering welfare of a child, class C felony, and a sentence assessment report was ordered.

A jury trial was set for June 7 for Donald E. Beshears on three counts of failure to register as sex offender.

Angela Crockett plead guilty to four counts of passing bad checks, class C felonies, and a sentence assessment report was ordered.

Brandon M. Hammock plead guilty to driving while revoked, class D felony, and was sentenced to two years in the Department of Corrections. For possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, he received 20 days on each count.

Probation was revoked for Tammy J. Thomas for passing bad checks, and the previously imposed sentence of four years was executed.
