Leroy was born on April 20, 1946 in Cameron, Missouri to Ralph and Mary Frances (Lewin) Filley.
He was a Construction Supervisor for MODOT, before retiring.
Leroy was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Filley.
Survivors: 2 sons, William “Bill” Jr. and wife, Beth Filley, Cameron, Steve and wife, Julia Filley, Gallatin, MO; 2 brothers, Ralph Filley, Raymore, MO and Marvin and wife, Mary Filley, Gladstone, MO; 5 sisters, Carolyn and husband, Bob Henderson, Jameson, Dixie Stevenson, Cameron, Doris and husband, John Darst, Independence, MO, Dinah and husband, Steve Bolinger, Cameron, Tena Tharp, Chillicothe, MO; sister-in-law, Laurie Filley, Liberty, MO; 4 grandchildren, Brianna, Mikayla, Wesley and Erin.
