Police Chief Mark Richards discussed the submitted report on activity from Jan. 23 to Feb. 13 with the Gallatin Board of Aldermen during their meeting held Feb. 13.

The following reports were taken and tickets given: one fire alarm; one accident; one assist ambulance; two careless driving; one missing juvenile; one stop sign complaint; three curfew violations; three disturbances; one selling prescription drugs; two funerals; two burglaries; one transformer out; three vehicle unlocks; one illegal parking; one peace disturbance; one trespassing; one child custody issue. There are two dogs in the pound.

Chief Richards stated that the Gallatin Police Department has been awarded a grant through the Missouri Safety Center to help pay overtime for officers who participate in the Youth Seatbelt Campaign March 15-31.

Chief Richards also reported that the annual inspection from the Department of Agriculture for the dog pound was completed and everything went well.

Brad Everett was appointed to the Park Board to complete the open term through June 2014.

Public comments were made regarding sewer/water position with the city.

Discussion was held on the recycling tub grant and the Financial Review.

Discussion was held on the resurfacing of Hwy. 13 by MoDOT and CDBG grant application.

Comments by aldermen were about the Park Board and employee overtime.

The board entered into closed session to discuss the hiring, firing, disciplining or promoting employees.
