A 10-year-old child received minor injuries in an accident that happened at about 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 13, on Hwy. 69.
According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Julie Youngs, 35, Gallatin, was northbound on Hwy. 69. About five miles north of Cameron, she lost control on the snow covered roadway and traveled off the west side. Her 2003 Chrysler minivan struck a fence post and several trees. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels in a field off the southwest side of Hwy. 69.
Youngs’ daughter, Madison Burnett, 10, Gallatin, was taken by Cameron Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. She was wearing her seat belt.
The minivan had extensive damage.
