Two people received moderate injuries in an accident that happened at about 1:12 p.m. on Feb. 1, in Clinton County.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Carolyn Jennings, 63, Winston, was traveling northbound on Hwy. 69, crossing Hwy. 116. Another vehicle driven by Gerald Snodgrass, 70, Lathrop, was westbound on Hwy. 116. Snodgrass braked and swerved but still struck the Jennings vehicle in the northbound lane. Both vehicle spun and struck each other again coming to rest northwest of the intersection just off the roadway.

Jennings and Snodgrass were taken by Tri-County Ambulance to Liberty Hospital.

Jennings’ 2005 Chevrolet Trail Blazer and the 2001 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Snodgrass were extensively damaged.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. T.N. Garton, assisted by Cpl. M.K. Allen, Tpr. J.M. Cross, Tpr. S.J. Coll and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
