Gallatin’s girls take on South Harrison this Friday, looking for their second win in Grand River Conference play, and looking to snap a four-game losing streak.

Gallatin couldn’t hang with conference co-leader Maysville on Tuesday, falling 52-39 despite outscoring the Lady Wolverines, 27-26, in the second half. Gallatin’s 32 turnovers didn’t help the cause. Nor did the Lady Bulldogs’ two-point shooting percentage, 28%.

Sara Lin and Kaitlyn Hefley notched 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Gallatin. Tory Wood added eight for the Lady Bulldogs.

The Lady Bulldogs fell to King City last Friday, 47-39. Lin and Hefley combined to hit 5-of-14 three-pointers for Gallatin. Lin finished with 13 points and five assists. Hefley contributed 12 points before fouling out late.

Salmon scored eight points, led the team with seven rebounds and registered five assists.

Next week’s schedule features home games on Tuesday against Princeton and on Friday vs. Stanberry.

Other scores from Tuesday night: Hamilton 59, King City 35; Polo 53, Stanberry 21; South Harrison 58, Worth County 29; and Princeton 55, Albany 25.
