Many of the best young junior high and grade school basketball players in Northwest Missouri began "travel basketball" season last weekend at the Lee’s Summit North USSA Basketball Tournament.

These 25 players are part of the EXTREME basketball program which features girls and boys from across the region. The three junior high boys teams are made up of players from Jefferson, Maryville, Stanberry, Fairfax, Lathrop and include Winston’s Craig Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Saxton Pliley, Ty Uthe, Kristchon Hisel and Jordan Leonard. Eric Lewis helps coach one team, along with Jefferson’s Charley Burch.
