Whew! You can’t score much better than Ed Weissenbach during Week 2 of the Weekend Wizard Basketball Contest. The former GHS coach was perfect, picking all 10 winners on the Week 2 slate and nearly nailed the combined MU-Texas score – missing the 157 total by just two! Coach Weissenbach becomes the first Weekend Wizard by route of a perfect score.

Three other participants were easily declared Weekend Wizards by correctly picking nine of 10 winners. Cody Bird of Gallatin, Franklin Figg of Hale, and Chad Sullenger of Gallatin are Weekend Wizards now entered into the drawing for Big 12 tournament tickets (Chad punctuated his winning entry by precisely predicting the exact MU-Texas 157-point combined score).
A logjam of participants stacked up to claim the final Week 2 Wizard spot to be entered into the drawing for Big 12 Tournament tickets. Sixteen entries all spotted eight of the 10. Todd Steward of Warrensburg came within 2 points of the 157-point combined MU-Texas score. Thus, Todd becomes the fifth and final Weekend Wizard for Week 2.
