After 43 years in the business Jerry and Kathy Frost have sold their insurance agency to Midland Insurance in Rock Port.

Logan and Pam Ireland will be working with the Frosts over the next couple of months to insure a smooth transition. The Frost Insurance business name will be kept the same.

Don Ireland founded Midland Insurance in 1976 in Rock Port and presently serves as president of the company. Logan is vice president and Pam is secretary and treasurer.

At the Gallatin location, Midland Insurance will offer property and casualty, life and health, Medicare supplement insurance, retirement planning and crop insurance.

Logan attended kindergarten through seventh grade in King City. He is a 1986 graduate of Rock Port. He was on the 1984-1985 Rock Port team that won the state championship. (Beating Gallatin both times.) He went to college at Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville. After college, he worked for 15 years at American Electric. He got into financial planning in 2004.

Pam is a 1986 graduate of Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery, Ala. She attended college at the University of Monotevallo, Ala. Pam’s financial background includes the banking and mortgage industry. She is licensed in property and casualty insurance.

The couple worked at Pacific Life in Omaha, Neb., for four and a half years.

Pam and Logan have three children, Ashley, a student at Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Neb.; Jessica, a student at Omaha Message Therapy School; and Camden, a junior at Rock Port. Ashley has given them a grandson, Kael, nine months

Pam and Logan are active in Rock Port Lions Club, where Logan is vice-president and Pam is the secretary. They are members of the Church on the Rock in Omaha, Neb.

"We hope to maintain the same kind and quality of service for clients that the Frosts have provided, and offer retirement planning as well," said Logan. "We believe our company will prove a benefit to the community."

Logan’s younger brother, Barry, will move from Reno, Nev., and arrive in Gallatin the first of March and will be the day-to-day agent for the company. Barry and his wife Gemalyn have three children, Aprille, Brylle and Cyprille. He is a 1988 graduate of Rock Port.
