– At a meeting Monday night in Plattsburg, attended by Supt. Neal Vogelgesang, Principal Walter M. Simpson and Coach Wayne Parker of Gallatin High School, Tri-C Conference officials voted to resume the conference basketball schedule and finish out the season. The schedule had been cancelled because of the tire restrictions forbidding the use of school buses to transport athletic teams. – J. D. Lollar, ace floor man for Winston, has scored 57 points in the past two games. Winston leads Little Seven Conference standings with a 6-1 record. – The Bulldogs tripped up Cameron, 63-52, to stay alive in the GRC race. Ken Youtsey led all scorers with 24 points. Larry Wilson chipped in 15 points for Gallatin. – Albany’s Lady Warriors beat Gallatin, 33-30, to snap a 51-game losing streak dating back to the 1978-79 season. – Gallatin’s Lady Bulldogs topped state-ranked Wellington, 46-43, to win third place in the Polo Invitational Tournament. Sheilla Lawson went six-for-six from the free throw line and scored the last two field goals in the game to spark the GHS rally. – Rick Lin picked up his 200th win as head girls coach at Gallatin R-5. He received a signed basketball from members of the 2001-02 Lady Bulldog team.
