Mary Frances Parkhurst, 86, died Jan. 12, 2012, in Lee’s Summit.
Mary was born Oct. 9, 1925, in Stanberry, the daughter of Oscar and Ada (Gillette) Angle.
On April 25, 1944, she and John Parkhurst were united in marriage.
She was a devout member of Fairview Community Church.
She worked alongside her husband, John, on the family farm for 47 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; brother, Kenneth Angle; daughter-in-law, Loa Parkhurst.
Survivors include seven children: Mitchell Parkhurst, Weatherby, Kyle Parkhurst, Gallatin, Marlan Parkhurst, Shawnee, Kan., Barbara Macy, Gallatin, Brenda Smith, Grain Valley, Kathy Elbel, Holden, Kelly Parkhurst, Dearborn; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
