Michener’s (four-year old) preschool class, from Learning Time Preschool, took a field trip last Friday to the Active Aging Resource Center.

The 10 students and Mrs. Michener toured the newly renovated center, and learned how home delivered meals are prepared and sent out. The preschoolers then helped decorate sacks for the home delivery holiday meals, played Christmas Bingo and then entertained at the AARC with some of their upcoming program holiday songs. Santa even found time in his busy schedule to stop by and visit the center and give candy canes to the children and hear their wish list for Christmas. The center is open Monday through Friday and offers nutritional meals, social activities and help navigating social programs and services available to older adults and their caregivers.
