Miss Missouri’s Outstanding Teen and Character Plus national spokesperson, McKensie Garber, spoke to CDS Elementary students about the different character traits needed to be successful.
She showed the students how respect is the foundation for supporting the other character traits which will ultimately lead to success. She explained to the elementary students how being respectful, responsible citizens who have compassion and tolerance for others, as well as being honest, cooperating with others and persevering to reach a goal, will lead them to leading a successful life. Garber used posters, raps, stories, games and activities to teach and motivate the students. She led them in a "citizenship" rap at the Character Champs Assembly.
