Gallatin Rotary Club recently welcomed new member Jeremy Dungy, manager of Dungy’s Market in Gallatin. The service club, founded in 1924, currently has 24 members meeting for noon luncheons each Tuesday at Cycles in Gallatin.
The local club is a member of Rotary International, a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders active in over 200 countries.
Current projects include collection for the Gallatin Foodbank. Donation barrels can be found at area businesses. Gallatin Rotary is working on programs with the Daviess County Library and other organizations to increase literacy in Daviess Country in the coming year.
Gallatin Rotary supports Boys State, Girls State, and many other local community projects on an ongoing basis.
The current club officers are: President Joseph Billings, Vice President Jan Johnson, Immediate Past President: Daren Adkins, Secretary Reta Rains, Treasurer Vicki Corwin, Sergeant-at-Arms Linda Houghton, and Membership Director Roger Eichler.
