Two people from Wisconsin were moderately injured in an accident that happened at about 3:50 p.m. on Nov. 19, on I-35.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Marlene Wierenga, 73, Waupun, Wis., was southbound on I-35 four miles north of Cameron. Her 2005 Dodge Caravan traveled into the median and then returned to the southbound lanes. The vehicle traveled into the median again and overturned, coming to rest upright in the northbound lanes of I-35.

Marlene Wierenga and James Wierenga, 79, Waupun, were taken by Cameron Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

The Caravan was totaled.

The accident was investigated by Cp. L.M. Newman, assisted by Cpl. P.M. Kimball, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, and Cameron Fire Department.
