Christine was born on Oct. 17, 1921, in Daviess County, to Chester and Ella Tattershaw Carter. She had worked as a bank teller for 17 years at the Cameron Savings and Loan, Cameron.

She was a member of the Kendall Chapel Church, south of Hamilton, and she had also been a volunteer at the nursing home, and a poll/election worker.

Christine was preceded by her husband, Oren Jay Evans in August of this year. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Eugene Evans; daughter, Jayne Roberta Evans; and three brothers, Carl, Perry, and Neil Carter.

Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside service and interment for Christine Evans will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Highland Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call after 9 a.m. on Thursday. Arrangements: Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
