A grass fire broke out about a half mile south and one mile west of Coffey on Drake Avenue, according to a first responder who was at the scene.

Four fire departments, Coffey, Jameson, Pattonsburg and Gallatin, fought the fire for about four hours. Pattonsburg and Gallatin filled their tankers twice.
