Central Missouri University senior Lacey Dixon is among 12 UMC Jennies softball players who earned Division II All-America Scholar Athlete awards for 2011. The awards are given by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
The award is given to any player submitted by a member coach who achieved a 3.5 grade point average or higher during the 2010-11 academic year.
With a GPA of 3.533, the Jennies softball team was named the top academic team in all of NCAA Division II softball.
