This was the second year the health department did a drive-through in order to test its ability to do mass vaccination in a setting outside the health department. The nursing staff utilized its mass vaccination guide and used volunteers from the community to assist them. The Daviess County Health Department recommends still getting a flu shot because the flu season is just getting started and goes into early spring. The department still has plenty of seasonal vaccine available for adults as well as children.
