Visitation: One hour prior to the Service at the Church. Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at the First Christian Church in Gallatin. Friends may call after 11 a.m. on Wednesday, at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery near Gallatin. Memorial contributions may be made to the Terry Huston Memorial Fund, in care of the Funeral Home.
Terry was born July 5, 1966, the son of Ron and Louise (Burchett) Huston in St. Joseph, Mo. Growing up, Terry enjoyed spending time at his grandparent’s, Richard and Ruby Huston’s, chicken farm in Jamesport.
He graduated from Gallatin High School in 1984. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy where he served for two years. Terry was proud of the time he served, especially due to the fact that his twin sister enlisted at the same time. After he returned, he started his own carpentry business, a profession he devoted over 20 years to. Terry developed a great skill in installing carpet. His business thrived, and he prided himself in caring for his customers.
Terry was a member of the First Christian Church in Gallatin. He loved and took pride in his family and looked forward to spending time with them. In his spare time, Terry was always up for the challenge of putting a puzzle together.
Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Ruby Huston, his mother Louise Huston, brother, David Huston, son, Terrance Huston and a nephew Derick Huston.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Ron and Pam Huston of Gallatin; one son, Jake Miller of Norfolk, Va.; one daughter:,Aubrey Huston; one brother, Rick Huston; twin sister:,Sherry (Bert) Carpenter, all of Gallatin; nieces and nephews, Jenny, Lindy, Rachel Stanhope, Mariah and Dalton Huston.
