Gallatin native Brice Garnett came in with a three-under-par 67 on Tuesday as one of the leaders in the Santa Ana Star Casino New Mexico Open.

The 54-hole tournament, which wraps up on Thursday, offers an estimated total purse of $85,000, with $12,500 going to the winner.

Garnett was tied for ninth, three strokes off the lead, after the first round of play.
