FFA Greenhands enjoy watermelon extravaganza

The Gallatin FFA Chapter held their annual watermelon extravaganza on Aug. 31. There were 30 members and 10 guests present. The FFA officers along with Mr. Henderson introduced the FFA program to new members and their parents. Greenhand members were fitted for jackets and given the opportunity to pay dues and voted on this year’s t-shirt design. Mr. Henderson spoke with the parents about the organization and answered any questions that were proposed. The members were included in team bonding activities provided by the officers. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed all the watermelon they could eat.
