The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office would like to help the citizens of Daviess County understand Missouri Revised Statute 304.034 RSMO regarding the use of golf carts on roadways.

Municipalities within the state of Missouri may allow the operation of golf carts and/or motorized wheelchairs within their jurisdiction. This allows the operation of the golf carts on city streets within their jurisdiction. It allows the operation of the golf carts to only cross a state or federal highway when it intersects with a municipal street.
The statute also states that at no time is a golf cart and/or motorized wheelchair allowed to cross a state or federal highway when the posted speed limit is 45 miles per hour or greater.
