The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced that Daviess County Route Z is now open to traffic.
Route Z had been closed for a bridge deck replacement project at the bridge over the drainage ditch located just west of Route AA since June 28. The bridge reopened to traffic on Aug. 23.
Following the opening of the Route Z bridge on Tuesday, the Marrowbone Creek bridge on Route HH closed. Route HH is now closed to all traffic at the bridge located approximately one mile west of MO 13. The bridge will be closed for six to eight weeks for a bridge deck replacement project.
These bridge projects are being done under the Missouri Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program which will improve 802 Missouri bridges by the end of 2013. In Daviess County, 15 bridges are scheduled for rehabilitation or replacement.
