Letters to the Editor: We need the swimming pool

Last summer I wrote you with my concern on hearing our public pool would not open the following year.

I live right next door to the pool and it’s been such a lovely sound, hearing all the happy kids swimming this year at the pool.

Laurie Roll and her husband David did a sensational job managing the pool. They had games for the kids, swimming classes for the adults after hours, and parties throughout the summer. The Hawaiian theme party seemed to be a huge success if all the laughter I heard was any indication.

I sure hope the pool can remain open next year and hopefully Laurie will manage it again. She has done an amazing job helping the kids have a great summer. Thanks, Laurie, and to everyone that decided Gallatin needs to keep the pool open.
