Funeral services for Dorothy Lyerla were held Friday, Aug. 26, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro. Interment followed in Alto Pass Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alto Pass Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Dorothy Lyerla, 71, of Cobden, Ill., died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at her home.
She was born on Jan. 4, 1940, in McFall, the daughter of Junior Edward and Elizabeth Mae (Leonard) Daniel.
She was a former employee of Cobden City Care and was a member of Alto Pass Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Vernon Ray and Stanley LaVerne and one sister, Ramona Lynn Sweat.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Doiel of Clarinda, Iowa, and Lori Ann Baggott of Du Quoin; two sons, Kyle Doiel of Philadelphia, Penn., and Justin Doiel of Cobden, Ill.; two sisters, Mary Ann Wyrick of McFall, and Arlene Yost of Pattonsburg; and two grandchildren.
