The current needs of this community and the daily animal rescues called in can no longer be met by the few volunteers of the Humane Society and the three or four foster homes. Without more community involvement the Humane Society will be forced to cease its activities.

The Daviess County Humane Society was founded by a person who saw a tremendous need for services for animals in our community. The efforts of the humane society benefit this community by caring for the neglected, abandoned and stray animals. The organization performs many administrative duties required to keep it running but most importantly it provides rescue and transportation of animals, foster care, management of veterinary care and adoption.

Please help the Humane Society continue to provide these services by volunteering or providing a temporary foster home. Please contact the Daviess County Humane Society at 660-605-4072.
